The AARC Political Advocacy Contact Team will be in Washington on March 9, 2010 to support the Respiratory Therapist Initiative Bills ( S343 and HR 1077 ). Please write your Congressman(woman) and ask them to support these Bills. Go to www.AARC.ORG and click on “WRITE NOW” for more information about the Bills and to write your Senator and Representative. The site provides a look-up for you to identify your Congressmen (women) |

It's that time of the year again. The LSRC is gearing up for the 40th annual Convention and Exhibits to be held at the Embassy Suites. As always the LSRC strives to bring quality education with various topics to meet the needs of all participants and an exhibits show with the latest in respiratory care products as well as representation from various hospitals looking for RT's. There will be awards presented, sputum bowl competition, and the annual crawfish boil. It will definitely be a great time. On-line resgistration is now open and you can pay your fees via paypal. There will be more information sent out soon so keep posted. The LSRC wants to thank everyone for their support. |

This years AARC 2009 International congress brought some big awards to LSRC Board members. Congratulations to Jim Lanoha, Delegate from Louisiana, received the 2009 Delegate of the Year Award from the AARC
Dennis Wissing, PhD, Chapter 1 President became a Fellow of the AARC
Ashley Dulle, 2009 President of the LSRC received the 20009 NBRC/AMP Gareth B. Gish, MS, RRT, Memorial Education Recognition Award from the American Respiratory Care Foundation. Great Job everyone. |
